In April 2025, James was invited by Straumann to visit their Headquarters in Basel, Switzerland.. Together with a group of 16 other Implantologists from the UK, he learnt about the latest and upcoming Straumann innovations and technology.  

During the visit, James also took a trip to Villeret in the beautiful Swiss Jura region to visit the main Straumann manufacturing facility, where all the components and instruments for the Straumann Dental Implant Systems are designed and made. James throughly enjoyed this fascinating tour, and came away with a deeper understanding of the technical elements of the implant system, and an even greater appreciation for the precision engineering, which goes into producing the Straumann Implants we choose for our patients. With 1200 people employed at the factory, it is a seriously impressive operation.
