Our story | Hayden Dental
Hayden Dental has been part of the Carmarthen community for over 60 years.
James Hayden and his wife, Katie, took over the practice in October 2013 from Stewart Lewis, who had practised in Blue Street, Carmarthen for almost 30 years. Many of our patients, who travel from across West Wales – including Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion – and further afield, remember visiting not only Stewart, but also his predecessor, Arnie.
We are proud to continue that history while developing the practice for the future. The new practice opened in 2019, providing us with a purpose-built environment designed around the needs of both our patients and our team.
While the practice has changed considerably over the years, the principles behind it have remained the same: excellent clinical care, a personal approach and a commitment to looking after our patients for the long term.

We moved to our premises on Castle Hill, Carmarthen, in April 2016 and completed a full rebuild in early 2019.
James and Katie personally designed every aspect of the new practice, creating a modern, purpose-built environment with state-of-the-art facilities, equipment, and clinical spaces.
Our philosophy is to provide the highest standards of dental care while maintaining a relaxed atmosphere and a genuine family feel. That philosophy remains at the heart of both our practice and the way we look after our patients.
