Teeth Whitening Carmarthen | West Wales

Teeth Whitening

Professional teeth whitening in carmarthen

A brighter smile, safely and professionally.

£375

Teeth naturally become darker over time. Tea, coffee, red wine, smoking and other everyday habits can also contribute to staining and discolouration.

Professional tooth whitening is a simple and effective way to brighten your smile while keeping the result looking natural.

At Hayden Dental, we provide in-clinic whitening, using professional-strength hydrogen peroxide whitening gel alongside individually-made whitening trays.

Your treatment is prescribed and supervised by our dental team, beginning with an oral health assessment to make sure whitening is appropriate for you.

How does teeth Whitening work?

Whitening gel contains an active ingredient that penetrates the tooth and breaks down the molecules responsible for discolouration.

Rather than changing the shape or structure of your teeth, whitening simply lightens their natural colour.

This makes it one of the most conservative ways of improving a smile – and, for many patients, a little whitening is all that is needed to make a significant difference.

Whitening before other cosmetic dentistry.

Whitening is often a sensible first step before composite bonding, replacement anterior restorations or other aesthetic work, because the final restorative shade can then be selected to match the whitened teeth.

Whitening FAQs

Please reach us at info@haydendental.co.uk if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Tooth whitening isn't simply a beauty treatment – it is a dental treatment and is regulated by law in the UK.

Before whitening is prescribed, you must first be assessed by a dentist to make sure that your teeth and gums are healthy and that whitening is safe and appropriate for you.

At Hayden Dental, your whitening journey begins with a proper oral health assessment. We can identify problems such as decay, leaking restorations, gum disease, recession or sensitivity that may need to be considered before whitening begins.

We use Boutique Whitening, with professionally prescribed hydrogen peroxide whitening gel and bespoke trays made specifically for your teeth.

They don't have to.

One of the advantages of gradual whitening is that you remain in control of how bright you would like your smile to become.

Some patients want a noticeable transformation; others simply want their teeth to look fresher and a little brighter. We can help you choose a result that suits you.

Some temporary sensitivity can occur during tooth whitening.

Using correctly fitting bespoke trays, the appropriate whitening gel and professional guidance allows us to tailor your treatment if you experience sensitivity.

If you have particularly sensitive teeth, let us know before you begin so that we can advise you accordingly.

No. Whitening works on natural tooth tissue and will not lighten existing fillings, crowns, bridges or veneers.

This is one of the reasons we assess your smile before treatment. If you have restorations that are visible when you smile, we can explain how whitening may affect the overall appearance and whether anything else might need to be considered afterwards.

Whitening results vary from person to person and will gradually change with time and lifestyle.

Coffee, tea, red wine, smoking and strongly coloured foods can all contribute to new staining.

The advantage of having your own bespoke whitening trays is that your smile can be refreshed periodically with top-up gel, following the advice of your dental team.

Tooth Whitening - Safety First

Safe. Legal. Dentist-prescribed.

In the UK, tooth whitening can only be prescribed by a registered dentist. Whitening treatment may also be provided by appropriately qualified and registered dental professionals working to that dentist's prescription.

Whitening provided by beauticians, salons, or other people who are not appropriately registered dental professionals is illegal in the UK – regardless of the whitening product they use.

Choosing dentist-prescribed whitening means that your mouth is properly assessed before treatment, the whitening system is appropriate for you, and you have a dental team available to support you throughout your treatment.
