Our dedicated team are passionate about Dentistry and delivering superb patient care. They have a wealth of skill and experience, and are committed to providing the very best possible dental care to every patient, every time.
Superbly supported by our skilled and knowledgeable nurses and admin staff, our team will make you feel immediately at ease - you are in safe hands. Our mission is to focus on patient experience and aim to always exceed our patients' expectations.

Our Clinicians
Dr James Hayden
Principal Dentist, James Hayden, qualified at the University of Birmingham in 2007 with a distinction in Clinical Dentistry, and has since gained significant experience in General Dentistry across the UK, including placing and restoring Dental Implants. He has also gained valuable experience in Maxillofacial Surgery, completed his Dental Implant training in 2013 and went on to graduate with a Masters Degree in Dental Implantology in 2019 James is a member of the International Team for Implants, and Director of the Regional ITI Study Club for South Wales. James builds such trust and rapport with his patients, that some travel from London, Manchester and even Europe and the USA to continue seeing him.
James was awarded Principal Dentist of the Year at the Welsh Dental Awards 2026, recognising his commitment to his patients, his practice, his team, and the wider Welsh dental community.
Proud husband and father to four sons - when he's not in clinic, he can usually be found coaching grassroots rugby or village cricket, on a sporting sideline, or on the beaches of Pembrokeshire - sailing, surfing, or trying to balance on a wing foil. The Hayden family love the mountains and travel to the Alps as regularly as possible.

Dr Cerys Edwards
Cerys Edwards graduated in 2010 from the University of Cardiff Dental School. Cerys has since gained significant experience in both General Practice and also in Hospital. She completed her Dental Implant training in 2023 and offers dental implant surgery and restoration to her patients. Our in-house Oral Medicine guru, Cerys's is like talking textbook when it comes to diagnostics - something all of our team and patients value. She is passionate about Dentistry; her studies and volunteering projects have taken her all over the world. Cerys's patients adore her - they value her relaxed, informative, empathetic, and extremely professional approach.
Outside of work, farmers' daughter and Welsh-speaker Cerys enjoys baking, making and creating with her two young daughters, and is very involved with school activities. Cerys and her husband are keen snowboarders and the family love their trips to the Alps.

Dr Nadia Khan
Nadia Khan joined us in Summer 2018 having gained experience in Swansea following her graduation. Originally from Cumbria, Nadia fell in love with Wales during her time at Cardiff University, and has been making her way West ever since. Nadia is a skilled and dedicated Dentist, committed to going the extra mile for her band of very happy, loyal patients. She completed her Facial Aesthetics training in 2021 and recently completed her Dental Implant training - both treatments she now offers within the practice. Nadia was highly commended for 'Facial Aesthetics Excellence' at the Welsh Dental Awards 2026.
Proud Mama to little Rhys, Nadia and her husband are big sports fans and love their American Football, combining this with travel whenever possible. She is also the most fabulous Social Sec and Mrs Claus for the Hayden Dental Team.

Dr Sara Herbert-Evans
Sara Herbert-Evans joined us in 2021 having gained experience in Swansea following her graduation from Bristol in 2014. Sara is a highly skilled and confident clinician - keen to keep her skills updated, she regularly undertakes additional training to broaden her scope of practice and enjoys offering Invisalign and Facial Aesthetics treatments. Sara was highly commended for 'Facial Aesthetics Excellence' at the Welsh Dental Awards 2026.
Fluent Welsh speaker Sara is originally from Carmarthenshire. A keen sportswoman, skier and outdoors enthusiast, Sara takes full advantage of our glorious coastal location in West Wales and loves to travel further afield with her husband and two young boys whenever she gets a chance.

Dr Teleri Rosie
Teleri Rosie (née Perks) qualified at the University of Cardiff in 2010, and has since gained experience in all areas of dentistry both in Wales and in Australia. Teleri has completed additional training to offer Invisalign treatment and enjoys completing orthodontic work within her general practice. Teleri's patients love her gentle, patient and empathetic approach.
A keen runner and cyclist, Teleri is as likely to be found winning a long distance sporting challenge with her husband as she is knocking up a perfect Victoria sponge with their two young daughters. Teleri loves West Wales's wonderful beaches and taking advantage of the watersports on our doorstep. Carmarthen born and bred, Teleri is a fluent Welsh speaker.

Dr Will Gough
Will Gough started his career as a Dental Officer in the British Army, serving for 8 years in the UK and Germany and travelling extensively. After a further 8 years at a family dental practice in Dorset, Will joined us in January 2023, having moved with his family to West Wales. Will is a committed and enthusiastic dentist, with an interest in Restorative Dentistry (Crowns & Bridges) and a distinction from the Eastman Institute (PGCert Restorative). Will has also undertaken additional training in Sedation, and offers treatment under inhalation sedation for adults and children, both for patients of Hayden Dental, and under referral from other practices from across West Wales.
A busy husband and father to three young children, Will is a keen sportsman and enjoys running, cycling and touch rugby. He also has an interest in Mountaineering, having climbed Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn, as well as various peaks in Nepal and Kyrgyzstan.

Dr Rohini Mohan
Rohini Mohan is a Specialist Paediatric Dentist, and the Clinical Lead for Paediatric Dentistry in Swansea Bay UHB and Powys Teaching HB. Rohini joins the team at Hayden Dental to establish a new children’s dental referral service in West Wales, and will initially be running monthly clinics commencing in March 2024.
It’s very exciting to be joining together to establish a new specialist service for the area. We welcome Rohini’s expertise and total passion for children’s dentistry, and are preparing for her arrival with new specialist equipment and training, meaning we will also be able to offer services such as sedation and The Wand pain free injection system.
As well as her role Specialist in Paediatric Dentist and Lead for Paediatric Dentistry in Swansea Bay University Health Board CDS and Powys Teaching Health Board, Rohini was the past Clinical Lead for CDS in SBUHB . Rohini has previously worked as a Senior Lecturer in Paed Dent at the University Hospital Wales (Cardiff). She has been an associate in General Practice, and her previous roles also include being the Specialist Dental Practice Advisor for SBUHB. She is the Chair of the Strategic Advisory Forum (SAF) for Paediatric Dentistry in Wales. She is Chair of the Managed Clinical Network (MCN) for Vulnerable Child and Adult group in South West Wales, and the Wales Council Representative for the British Society of Paediatric Dentistry (BSPD) UK, and BSPD representative for Child Oral Health Improvement Board UK. She is also the BSPD spokesperson for Wales. She is an examiner for the Tri- Collegiate membership exam for Paediatric Dentistry in UK. Rohini's passion is working to improve Child Oral Health and reduce inequalities in access to care for children.
In her free time (!), Rohini enjoys travelling and hiking, finds cooking and baking therapeutic, and fits in the Yoga where possible.

Hygiene & Therapy
Sue Davies DipHE (Dent Therapy)
Sue joins us with a wealth of experience as a Dental Hygienist and Therapist over a career in Dentistry spanning over 40 years. A busy Mum and Grandma, Sue is a passionate and pro-active clinician, who returned to University in 2012 to gain an additional qualification in Dental Therapy to add to her Hygiene degree and experience. Within her scope of practice, Sue undertakes emergency appointments and treatment sessions including fillings and extractions as prescribed by your dentist.
A proud and busy Grandma, Sue is a fabulous addition to the Hayden Dental Team bringing great wisdom and experience, and a huge amount of positivity and enthusiasm. Her patients love her encouraging and informative approach, and her wonderful sense of humour.

Tomas Pickering BSc (Hons) Dent Therapy
Tom joins us having graduated with a First Class Honours Degree in Dental Therapy from the world-renowned Eastman Dental Hospital in London. Welsh-speaker Tom hails from Carmarthenshire and we were delighted to welcome him back to West Wales to join the team at Hayden Dental. He is passionate about his profession and using his skills to provide exceptional care, and help patients establish and maintain excellent oral health. Tom's patients consistently comment on his superb chair-side manner, professionalism, attentiveness, and wonderfully helpful and thorough approach.
Outside of Dentistry, Tom fits very well into our sporty and well-travelled team, with a keen interest in weight-lifting and callisthenics, and love of European travel.

Our friendly, knowledgable support team have a wealth of experience helping dental patients to access care in a stress-free, comfortable way. Professional and approachable, our team are here to help whether you have a query about your appointment, you're feeling nervous about treatment, you'd like assistance in surgery, or you just want a friendly face to meet you and show you round the practice before you attend for the first time.
The team are all passionate about Dentistry and have a breadth of interests and additional qualifications, from Oral Hygiene Education to Fluoride Application, to Dental Implant Nursing Certificates. Many team members speak Welsh, and our talented team are also able to assist with Polish translation, just ask - we're here to help.

- 'Had a very informative appointment with the nurse today. Was really surprised to find out that the bacteria from plaque can cause infection which could result in heart disease and dementia! Celia is a lovely lady who showed me how to get rid of plaque in those little nooks and crannies between my teeth. Well worth a visit. She will also tell you your plaque score to make sure your cleaning your teeth correctly. I was so surprised how much sugar was in certain drinks and foods.
