Thank you for visiting our page. We accept referrals for Dental Implant Surgery from General Dentists across Wales. Please complete the brief form below to start the referral process, attaching any additional information such as Referral letter, X-Rays or Scans below.
We have in-house CBCT Scanning facilities and can offer advanced Implant options including bone grafting, soft tissue grafts, and sinus lifts where required. We are always happy to chat through cases, so please do give us a call if you'd like to discuss your patient's needs in more detail.
Please include your name, practice and email address within the referral. For the patient, please include:
Your referral will be acknowledged and your patient will receive a contact from our Implant Treatment Coordinator shortly after the referral arrives.
Our Treatment Coordinator will answer any questions your patient has at this stage and book them in with our Implantologist for a full Implant Assessment (£350 including CBCT Scan).
Following their Implant Assessment, your patient will receive a detailed letter with fully costed Treatment Plan, options and recommendations. They will be contacted by our Treatment Coordinator to discuss any queries or thoughts and to book in if they have decided to proceed with Implant surgery. You will receive a copy of this correspondence.
Your patient will attend pre-operatively to finalise the treatment plan, sign consent forms etc (usually 1-2 weeks before surgery). The length of surgical appointments varies, but is usually around 2 hours. Patients will receive a post-op care call within 24 hours, and attend again 2 weeks post-op for review and/or stitch removal.
We only place Straumann implants.
The healing period will depend on the implant placement, any bone grafting etc; usually around 8-12 weeks post op, the restoration phase will start. We use intra-oral scanning and a fantastic local laboratory for all our implant work.
If you would like to restore the implant yourself, please do let us know in your referral.
Once surgeon and patient are happy with the result, your patient will be discharged back to you for their ongoing dental care. We will remain on hand for any queries or questions regarding their implant maintenance, or wider dental concerns - please don't hesitate.
Patients are given a Waterpik for oral hygiene and implant maintenance - we also advise 3-monthly Hygiene visits for all our implant patients.
